Puncture? Pothole? Accidental Damage? What If Your Tyre Was Already Covered?

That’s one of the reasons we’re backing Dynamo Tyres, and their lifetime guarantee isn’t quite what you’d expect from a mid-range tyre.

Choosing a new tyre shouldn't just be about the price. You also want to know you're buying something you can rely on - and what happens if something goes wrong.

That's one of the reasons we offer Dynamo tyres at Affordable Tyres 2U.

Dynamo is a mid-range tyre, manufactured by Sailun, and comes with something you don't see with every tyre: a lifetime guarantee that includes qualifying accidental damage.

Your Local Dynamo Tyre Dealer

Affordable Tyres 2U is a Dynamo tyre dealer for the local area, supplying and fitting Dynamo tyres throughout our South Wales coverage area.

As a Dynamo dealer, we can supply the tyres, explain how the lifetime guarantee works and help deal with eligible warranty claims if you ever need to use it.

How does the Dynamo Lifetime Guarantee work?

The simplest way to explain it is this:

If your Dynamo tyre suffers qualifying accidental damage during normal driving and can't be safely repaired, you could receive a contribution towards a replacement tyre. The newer the tyre, the bigger the contribution.

Tread remaining

Warranty contribution

7mm+

100%

6mm

80%

5mm

60%

4mm

40%

3mm

25%

2mm

5%

Once the tyre is below 2mm, the guarantee ends. As the tyre wears and you've had more use from it, the contribution reduces.

What does that mean in pounds?

Let's make it even simpler. The example below is based on a Dynamo replacement tyre costing £60 at the time of writing (October 2026). The £60 figure is illustrative because tyre prices can change.

Tread remaining

Warranty contribution

5mm

60%

4mm

40%

£36

3mm

25%

£45

2mm

5%

£57

The simple rule: the more tread you have left, the more the warranty contributes.

For example, if the replacement tyre costs £60 and your qualifying tyre has 5mm of tread remaining, the warranty contributes 60% (£36), leaving £24 for you to pay.

At Affordable Tyres 2U, we don't add an extra charge for fitting, balancing or a new standard valve when replacing an eligible tyre under the Dynamo warranty. You simply pay the remaining tyre cost after the warranty contribution has been applied.

If the qualifying tyre has 7mm or more remaining and receives the 100% contribution, using this example you pay £0.

What does the guarantee cover?

The guarantee covers eligible Dynamo tyres against manufacturing and material defects.

Importantly, it also includes qualifying accidental damage during normal driving.

There are terms and exclusions, as there are with any warranty. The tyre must have at least 2mm of tread remaining, be properly maintained and meet the conditions of the scheme.

If you're ever unsure, contact us and we'll check it for you.

And what if it's only a puncture?

That's where Affordable Tyres 2U adds something extra.

When you buy a Dynamo tyre from us, we'll also provide FREE puncture repairs down to 2mm of tread, provided the puncture can be safely and legally repaired.

If you pick up a nail or screw and the tyre is repairable, we'll repair it free of charge. Not every puncture can be repaired - particularly certain sidewall or shoulder damage - so we'll always inspect the tyre first.

But if it's safely repairable and qualifies for our offer, there's no charge for the puncture repair.

Why do we offer it?

Because we don't think our job should finish when we've fitted your tyres.

With Dynamo, you've got a mid-range tyre, the reassurance of its lifetime guarantee, and when you buy it through Affordable Tyres 2U, the added benefit of free puncture repairs down to 2mm.

So if something happens further down the road, you've got someone to come back to.

That's what aftercare should look like - and it's another part of what we mean when we say we're Setting the Standard.
